- When making a booking with Kirkham Chauffeur Services, you agree that the following extra charges may be incurred on top of the original fare.
- Waiting time.

Like other car firms, we charge if you keep the car waiting over a certain period of time. This recompenses both the chauffeur and us for the delay. However, unlike other car firms, we provide a built-in Grace period and a Meet & greet inclusive waiting period into our service to help absorb most of the minor unscheduled delays to your itinerary and to ensure that we always remain flexible to your needs.

- Grace period.

Standard pick-ups: 15 minutes grace. This means that if you get into the car within the first 15mins of the booked time, then there is no waiting charge. However, if you get into the car after (eg) 16mins, then the full (eg) 16 minutes are chargeable.
- Meet & Greet inclusive waiting.

Airport pick-ups: 20 minutes inclusive. At STN, LCY, LTN your chauffeur will enter the arrivals hall 10mins after the actual flight arrival time. This means that if you get into the car within the first 30mins of the booked time, then there is no waiting charge. However, if you get into the car after (eg) 40mins, then 10 minutes are chargeable.
Airport pick-ups: 45 minutes inclusive. At LHR, LGW your chauffeur will enter the arrivals hall 15mins after the actual flight arrival time. This means that if you get into the car within the first 60mins of the booked time, then there is no waiting charge. However, if you get into the car after (eg) 70mins, then 10 minutes are chargeable.

For our airport ‘meet & greet service we require the flight details and a passenger mobile number. This enables us to track your flight and ensure that your chauffeur is in the airport at the right time to meet you. If the flight lands late, we will send the chauffeur in at the actual flight arrival time, rather than the scheduled arrival time. This helps to avoid extra charges. (subject to flight information being available and accurate.) If the flight lands early we will endeavour to meet the new schedule, but cannot always guarantee it.
At the predetermined time after landing, your chauffeur will send an introductory SMS and be waiting ready to greet you, holding a nameboard with your name on it, in the arrivals hall. Your chauffeur will then escort you to the vehicle and provide assistance with your luggage.
- Delayed Collection (eg) 30 minutes after landing;

Some customers prefer to delay the chauffeur collection to (eg) 30mins after landing. This helps keep parking & waiting charges to a minimum by allowing extra time for you to transit through the airport system. Please ask us about this option at the time of booking.
- Car parking.

Parking is an additional cost. If your chauffeur is obliged to pay to park in order to fulfil your booking. The parking charge is added at the end of the journey, and is charged at cost.
- Extra stops.

Multi-Stop Airport transfers: £18 for the first extra stop, each subsequent stop is charged at £10 (however, we do not charge extra for any additional mileage.) All other journeys are charged at £6 per extra stop, plus a charge for any additional mileage.
- Road tolls & congestion charges.

If a chauffeur is obliged to enter a congestion charging zone, toll road or crossing, the prevailing charge is added at the end of the journey, and is charged at cost.
- Airport drop off fees.

LTN & STN charge a fee to drop passengers in their designated drop-off areas, the prevailing charge is added at the end of the journey, and is charged at cost.
- Overnight travel.

Airport Transfers between 24:00 and 05:00 No Surcharge - All other journeys between 24:00 and 05:00 - We reserve the right to add a 50% surcharge.
- Child seats & boosters.

Britax Child Safety seats suitable for children 9-18kg can be provided at a cost of £15 per journey. Booster seats are available at £6.00. If required, please request these at the point of booking.
- Soiling.

Any soiling that requires the car to be taken out of service for cleaning will result in a valeting charge of £150.
- Cancellation charges.
- Cancellations within 24hrs;

Cancellations within 24hrs of the start of the service, the company reserve the right to charge a fee of 25% of the booking charge or £25 (whichever is the greater).
- Cancellations within 12hrs (outside office hours);

Cancellations (between-18:00 to 08:30 GMT) within 12hrs of the start of the service, the company reserve the right to charge in full. If the client does not appear at the time/place designated as the pickup point, the client will be charged in full.
- Cancellations within 4hrs (office hours);

Cancellations (between-08:30 to 18:00 GMT Monday to Friday) within 4hrs of the start of the service, the company reserve the right to charge in full. If the client does not appear at the time/place designated as the pickup point, the client will be charged in full. (*Please note that waiting time, parking or toll charges may apply to cancelled bookings if the car is cancelled after the pick-up time.)
- Card bookings.

When you make a booking to pay by card, your card may be pre-authorised by us to confirm that you have the available funds in your account. This pre-authorisation does not take money out of your account, but merely ring-fences the fare + 20%, which covers any potential extra charges (as detailed above). After the journey is completed, your card is charged the final total amount, and releases any of the remaining pre-authorised amount. We do NOT add a surcharge on credit card payments.
- Fuel Surcharge.

We reserve the right to add a 5% surcharge to ALL journey rates in the event that the price of diesel exceeds £1.35 PpL during the valid times or part thereof. (pump price at Tesco filling station Royston).
- Christmas and New Year

As usual we're open 24/7 throughout Christmas, but will be very busy, so please book your sleigh home early to avoid disappointment. In order to ensure we provide the same high level of service over the Christmas and New Year period our rates include a 100% surcharge on the following days:
- 24th Dec: 18:00-23:59
- 25th Dec: all day
- 26th Dec: all day
- 31st Dec: 1800-2359
- 1st Jan: all day
